Heal from Trauma/PTSD and Stress
with
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing

Have you ever experienced a challenging or traumatic event that seems to replay in your mind, causing distress or holding you back from fully enjoying life? Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a therapeutic approach designed to help you process and heal from these difficult experiences.

During EMDR sessions, your therapist will guide you through a series of techniques to help your brain reprocess memories in a safe and supportive environment. One key element involves stimulating bilateral brain activity, often through following the therapist's hand movements with your eyes or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This process allows your brain to make new connections, helping you to integrate the distressing memories in a more adaptive way.

Many people who undergo EMDR report significant positive outcomes. These may include a reduction in the intensity of distressing memories, a greater sense of control over emotions, and an overall improvement in mental well-being. EMDR can empower you to break free from the grip of past traumas and move forward with greater resilience and confidence in your life.

Ultimately, EMDR aims to help you process painful experiences, reduce their impact on your present-day life, and support you in building a brighter and more fulfilling future. If you're struggling with past traumas or distressing memories, EMDR may offer you a path toward healing and growth.

Thank you for everything, I'm honoured to have had the privilege to meet you and go through this journey together.

You are a healer and without you, I'd still be searching for the missing pieces whilst carrying what felt like the weight of the world on my shoulders!

I owe it to you and my company; I'll push harder and harder every day to achieve my goals and do you guys proud

Be lucky and take care!

I'm sure I'll see you again, so this isn't goodbye it's until next time, my friend.

"I used to be a sceptic in regards to therapy and how wrong was I.

I self-referred for support via my workplace Occupational Health in October. I wish I had reached out for help earlier as Kelvyn's therapies have helped me turn my life around. I will continue to see Kelvyn as and when I feel I need support.

In the spring, last year, I felt myself sinking lower and lower, mainly due to workplace stress and burnout. By the summer I was struggling to get out of bed and barely functioning. I felt tearful and hopeless every day - all day and then suffered a tragic bereavement of a dear friend from suicide.

The six therapy sessions with Kelvyn have truly changed my outlook on life and helped me make the changes I needed to become myself again. I realised that big changes needed to happen and that I am capable of initiating them. My confidence in my own abilities returned and I have clawed my way back. I have left the teaching profession and have started a new path with great enthusiasm and the future is looking bright! I am coming to terms with my friend's death - I will always miss him - but I accept that sadly, I could not have prevented his choices.

I also had an EMDR session which has been life-changing. For my whole life, including my childhood, I have suffered from frequent, horrendous nightmares. Kelvyn helped me explore the root cause of my childhood trauma and my relationship with my parents. I have not had a nightmare in the months following the EMDR treatment. I have accepted that I cannot change the past but I feel 'rewired' and do not allow it to take over my thoughts. My sleep pattern is now peaceful and I am waking up feeling calm and refreshed.

Kelvyn, you are amazing! I cannot thank you enough for your kind and professional support. Bring on 2024! x
